Henry Winkler visits The Prentice School
Henry Winkler visited the Prentice School,
a private school that serves
students with dyslexia. Students,
parents and staff had the privilege
of hearing Mr. Winkler share reflections
on his challenges with dyslexia.
With his well-known wit, he delivered a
message of hope and encouragement.
He captured the students’ attention as he read an excerpt from I Got a "D" in Salami, one of the many novels from his Hank Zipzer series, which is based loosely on his own childhood struggles with dyslexia. He encouraged the students to follow their dreams and repeated an expression that inspired him: “If you will it, it is not a dream.”
